Olivia attended Augustana College in Rock Island for her Bachelor degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then attended Lewis University in Romeoville where she received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. During this time, she completed research in treatment approaches for childhood apraxia of speech, as well as the effects of early traumatic brain injury on social communication in school-aged children. She worked as a nanny and a teacher’s assistant for a special education classroom throughout her education. Olivia’s practicum experience includes teletherapy for several elementary schools across Illinois, a retirement community where she lead adult sign language and social communication groups, a high school multi-needs program, and a traumatic brain injury day program. She has experience evaluating and treating children with various speech sound disorders, language disorders and delays, as well as social communication disorders. Olivia has some experience working with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She also has experience evaluating and treating adults with traumatic brain injury, acquired speech and language disorders, voice disorders, and cognitive deficits.

Olivia provides pediatric speech-language services for various communication disorders in the Batavia clinic and strives to help improve patients’ confidence in their communication abilities so they feel heard, understood, and accepted.

She loves the welcoming and encouraging atmosphere of Therapy Care. She enjoys collaborating with other clinicians and co-treating with other disciplines, as well as receiving extensive support from staff members.
