For more than 30 years, Therapy Care has provided adult therapy and pediatric therapy at our outpatient clinic in Batavia, IL. We also provide therapy through early intervention, privately in-home, and in settings such as schools, home health, hospitals, and nursing facilities. We are a family-owned and operated practice with deep ties to Batavia and surrounding communities.

Our History & Story
We were founded in 1990 by a speech-language pathologist, Bobbie Chester (J.D., M.Ed., CCC/SLP), who has dedicated her life to helping children and adults. Our group has grown from a sole speech therapist to the “go-to” speech, occupational and physical therapy group. We are known for having the most experienced and knowledgeable therapists.
Bobbie spent years working in schools, skilled care and medical settings all while raising her two boys with her husband Nelson (20+ years at Fermilab). Bobbie’s experience led her to two fundamental realizations of why Therapy Care was opened.
First, the Chicago area was in need of a truly remarkable clinical therapy group focused on helping both the patient and their family. At Therapy Care, we feel that a patient’s support system and home therapy program are vital to unleashing a patient’s true potential! Cross-discipline collaboration ensures we are treating our patients holistically and allows the opportunity for profound positive effects on a patient’s progress towards their treatment goals!
Second, Bobbie felt that many therapists (especially new grads) lacked the guidance and resources to pursue their career goals. Her vision was to provide a setting focused on continuous learning and collaboration. She successfully established a group where all Therapy Care therapists are enabled to provide the best possible client care founded on research and evidence-based methodologies.
Since 1990, Therapy Care has grown to become a trusted leader in pediatric therapy and adult therapy. We provide services across multiple disciplines in our outpatient clinic, in the home, in schools, in medical settings, and in early intervention programs. Therapy Care provides our clinicians world-class training from thought leaders from various clinical communities driving our pursuit towards continuously improving the therapy we provide for each of our patients. We now provide services in Illinois, North Carolina, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and Florida.
What To Expect At Your First Visit
Our number one mission here at Therapy Care is helping our patients enrich their lives by empowering them to reach their therapy goals and their greatest potential. We understand that no two patients are alike, so no two treatment plans should be either. Treatment plans are individualized for you or your child.
When you arrive for your initial appointment, one of our Pediatric therapists, Speech Therapist, or Occupational Therapist will design a customized treatment plan for you or your child, taking note of your specific situation, symptoms, medical history, and any health limitations you or your child may have.
