What services are provided during a Telehealth or Teletherapy visit?

• Speech Therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Physical Therapy
• Feeding / Swallowing Therapy
• Group Therapy (typically speech therapy)​

What is a Telehealth or Teletherapy visit?

To protect your privacy, our telehealth visits will be conducted via a secure video platform and will allow you virtual access to your therapist from the comfort and safety of your home or workplace.

How do I connect with my speech therapist for a telehealth visit?

Your speech therapist, occupational therapist or physical therapist will reach out to you and schedule a time for your teletherapy visit. At the time of your teletherapy appointment, you will receive an email inviting you to click on a link. You will not need to download any apps to participate. Once you click on the link, you will be connected with your therapist via a secure one on one video link.

Is a teletherapy visit appropriate for me, my child or loved one?

In most cases, yes. Our therapist can discuss how teletherapy can deliver your plan of care and be a great alternative to in-person therapy.

Are telehealth visits covered by insurance? Yes!

Recently the federal government and the state of Illinois has mandated coverage of telehealth visits by Medicare, Medicaid, and all commercial insurers. You will not have to pay copays or coinsurance, but your deductible may still apply (depending on your plan). If you do not have health insurance we have alternative payment options which you can speak with someone in the office about. We will make every effort to make teletherapy an option for all families during this Coronavirus Pandemic.
